COVID-19 Sept 21st Lowell Update
2020-09-21
The purpose of this letter is to specifically apprise you that, effective today, we have initiated a one-week closure of our Lowell Facility operation due to COVID-19. Unless our findings this week indicate otherwise, we intend to resume operation – with a reduced work force – on Monday, 9-28-2020. Anaheim continues to operate at a reduced capacity and Minden at nearly 100%.
Our decision was initiated in accordance with our COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan after several positive test cases were confirmed late last week which included asymptomatic individuals. Cristek operates with policies that well exceed CDC guidelines, governmental requirements and industry best practices. Thus far, we have been unable to determine if the root cause was internal or the result of community spread due to a spike of cases in the immediate Lowell vicinity. Over the weekend, we had the entire staff tested and, thankfully, the majority were negative. However, the presence of the asymptomatic, positive individuals in the facility as late as Friday caused us to be cautious and retest later this week to be certain that no additional infections are present.
Cristek representatives will be in touch with additional details throughout the week and will work with you to categorize the impact to individual orders and recommitments as soon as possible. We want to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure the continued health and safety of the Cristek team while ensuring proactive communication with you, our valued customer, on the product requirements with which you have entrusted us.
Sincerely,
Cristi Cristich - President/CEO
Brandon Roemer - Director of Sales and Marketing
Marjorie Baiardi - General Manager, Lowell
